Scott Sanders created the official event logo, which features a fun, colorful soccer ball graphic circumscribed by the all-caps “Decatur WatchFest26” moniker. The logo appears on various materials produced to promote the event, including trucker hats, t-shirts, koozies, and club-style soccer scarves.

Stephen Lacienski developed a graphics package to be used by the City of Decatur for social media marketing.

On May 5, the advisory committee hosted a launch party and media event on the Decatur Square. Community representatives including Mayor Patti Garrett, City Commissioner Kelly Walsh, City Manager Andrea Arnold, and Mayor Pro Tem Tony Powers introduced the event and unveiled the official logo, while members of the media got a first look at Decatur WatchFest26’s schedule of events.
The launch party generated significant media placements announcing the event, including articles published by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Fox 5 Atlanta, 11Alive, Georgia Public Broadcasting, Decaturish, and more.
“In 2026, the world’s game comes to our country — and right here in Decatur, we’re ready to celebrate it like nowhere else… From our parks to our patios, our schools to our streets, soccer lives here.
WatchFest isn’t just a viewing party — it’s a reflection of who we are: a city that shows up, stands together, and plays with heart.”
