Today is the thirtieth anniversary of the incorporation of Lenz. I started the company in my basement, with a spare door on top of two filing cabinets for a desk, a credit-card financed 486 PC as my sole piece of office equipment, and a heart full of hope.
Lenz will again serve as the presenting sponsor for the upcoming Amplify Decatur Music Festival, to be held April 22-24, providing financial support and comprehensive marketing services at no charge as part of its sponsorship. Lenz is a founding partner of Amplify and has supported the organization for more than a decade.
Lenz recently designed, developed, and launched a new website for Albireo Energy. Headquartered in Edison, New Jersey and with offices in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, Albireo Energy is a worldwide provider of building technology solutions optimizing performance, reducing cost, increasing reliability, and decreasing energy usage. They design, engineer, install, commission, and maintain building systems that are integrated into all facility assets through a single operator user interface.
In the summer of 2020, John Lenz, VP of Lenz, Inc. was feeling unwell with symptoms that didn’t point to any obvious diagnosis. When a friend suggested he get tested for COVID-19, he found a nearby drive-up testing site being discussed by neighbors on Nextdoor. He read that no appointment was required, so he quickly headed out the door.
