May 2024 Event Will Feature Children’s Picture Books, Middle-Grade Literature, Graphic Novels, and Young Adult Literature
Lenz has partnered with Little Shop of Stories to help launch the Decatur Children’s Book Festival, set to take place May 3–5, 2024.
As a festival partner, Lenz will donate its comprehensive marketing and communications resources, including website and digital marketing public relations, graphic design, and advertising services, in support of the inaugural event.
“We’re grateful to be a part of such an important literary event,” said Lenz President and CEO, Mike Killeen. “Lenz aims to help grow the Decatur Children’s Book Festival into one of the most exciting annual events in the lives of Decatur’s kids.”
Lenz is thrilled at the opportunity to contribute to the launch of the festival, during which hundreds of young people from the area and beyond are expected to descend upon Decatur’s Recreation Center and Library to take part in event activities. Programming will feature children’s picture books, middle-grade literature, graphic novel characters, and young adult literature, drawing children of all ages.
Since opening in 2005, Little Shop of Stories has become a nationally recognized and award-winning children’s bookstore. In addition to hosting top authors and illustrators throughout its history, Little Shop of Stories has also helped develop children’s programming for the Decatur Book Festival and continued to help grow children and teen programming for the festival.
