When it came time for a refreshing, dynamic update of its website, SouthCoast Health, a medical leader across the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, reached for Lenz. Closely collaborating with the client, Lenz delivered a contemporary and aesthetically pleasing website, giving SouthCoast Health the opportunity to make a stronger digital connection with its patients.
Out of the gate, the Lenz team dug deep, discerning the client’s key goals of modernizing the site, utilizing the latest technologies, and creating a cleaner, more visually appealing, and navigable design.
Bringing the website into “the now” called for several upgrades. Among them was making the site responsive, which allows its layout, content, and design to automatically adapt to the user’s screen size and orientation, no matter the device. Other updates include the addition of a high-impact video carousel on the homepage, providing a strong first impression for visitors.
To advance the site’s overall performance, Lenz leaned on next-generation technology. Upgrading to Bootstrap 5 results in a more efficient and responsive layout. Incorporating Sass enables a modular, maintainable CSS structure, helping to centralize and standardize styles across the site. Together, these choices improve the codebase’s maintainability and provide better control over the site’s front-end performance without changing the visual goals.
Improving the website’s navigation and usability found Lenz focused on clearly enhancing the visual hierarchy of each page. This helps guide the user’s eye to the most important information, such as contact and call-to-action messaging.
Lenz veterans Meagan Maron and Lizzi Skipper managed the account and developed the website, respectively. Working directly with Eric Betts, SouthCoast Health’s Marketing and New Business Director, the team brought to life the latest version of SouthCoastHealth.com, which now provides patients with a more easily accessible experience to live healthier lives.
