As the prevalence of COVID-19 began to surge again, longtime Lenz client, Science ATL, decided to hold its annual Race Through Space virtually. We were excited to jump to the occasion and help them plan and promote this important initiative.

Lenz branded and marketed a new virtual racing app, the Race Through Space Galaxy Edition. The free app allows participants to run or walk a virtual 5K in their neighborhoods while traversing 54 million light-years across nine galaxies. Developed with Winnona Partners, the interactive, educational app has a delightful snarky script and some quirky music to punctuate the experience. Lenz created the app’s look and feel, color scheme, fonts, and finally a logo and app. icon to help it stand out on your phone. 

We also completely refreshed Science ATL’s Race through Space webpage, which you can view by clicking here.

At the same time, Lenz developed and executed an interactive marketing campaign around a race weekend to launch the app that combined social media, PR., and influencer community outreach. Through these efforts, we secured media coverage through WABE-FM, Metro Atlanta CEO, the DeKalb Champion, and a posting with the Atlanta Track Club.
