Lenz Marketing Director Mike Killeen recently appeared in a feature article by the web site Politico regarding the insurance industry’s Obamacare advertising strategies.

The article, titled “It’s not Obamacare, It’s Business” by Kyle Cheney and Paige Winfield Cunningham, examines the unique marketing opportunities and challenges facing insurance companies in the era of Obamacare.

Politico contacted Lenz after identifying the company as a national expert in healthcare marketing.

Killeen is quoted three times in the article alongside industry experts from Blue Cross Blue Shield, Goldman Sachs, and Kantar Media. Former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle also appears in the article.

In the article, Killeen predicts that a functioning HealthCare.gov web site is not all it will take for insurers to begin aggressively advertising again. “I think they’ll need to be assured not only the website is working but also that people believe the website’s working,” he says.

Politico had 8.8 million unique visitors to its web site in the month preceding the article’s publication, according to the web site Quantcast, which tracks web traffic.
